I love this non sally approach. The high pressure, but it now before it’s gone just doesn’t cut it for me. It doesn’t feel good to offer this in that matter. Thanks you for sharing this! I’ll definitely be back for more! 💙
Hey, hi again! There are people who resonate with that, me not. It’s all about fear-pushing strategies and agitating problems. I love to sell from the desire, living proof and aligned with my clients desires. That is really a game-changer (for them, for me).
Hey Josephine, actually they do. These are quiet strategies that work across platforms. I started a business from zero using only Substack, and I’ve grown my new business with intention, one post at a time, the occasional email and I’m now close to 30K in cash. Some of that is monthly recurring revenue. This is 1:1 organic attraction marketing. I refine the messaging so it’s always positively uplifting. No scammy, fear-based FOMO BS tactics. My 1:1 clients have done the same. (You can read my previous post where I break down their results.) Just because “people like more” doesn’t mean you should chase that. What matters is what you want to build. That desire has to lead. I’m intentional about the business I’m creating. Solid numbers, ease for my nervous system, free time, and delivering my magic inside my paid program. I don’t care about likes. I enjoy them, sure. But I always come back to why I’m writing in the first place. It’s the same for any writer who actually wants to attract an aligned audience. If you’re writing as a creative outlet, that’s totally valid. But writing to attract and serve your people - that’s a different intention. Your ideal client should feel seen, supported, and ready to pay because they know your work will genuinely help them.
Yes, they use Substack strategically. It's just you won't see them shouting, posing how many likes they've got, how many subscribers or if they've hit a bestseller list. It totally doesn't matter - we are not on Substack to climb the platform, we are here to meet a certain type of human to serve. In my coaching and program I teach an energy-first business model (not a strategy-first like bros or hackers). Anyway, while I am all about resonance and frequency - I also believe in using evergreen business strategies like organic marketing and others, if you are serious on hitting your financial goals as soon as possible. What is your core offer? Are you in a coaching space?
I agree. As I mentioned before, I’ve been in the high end, deep transformation space for a number of years. I choose to work with only a very few clients
Having invested big $ on biz training for highest level leaders, I am more than familiar with the model you suggest.
My first comment was about whether you clients have been successful on Substack if not selling marketing or making money services.
Yes, I get that question a lot (and I’ve answered it in a few previous comments). The short answer: yes. They are doing that using Substack as a platform and without daily 10 notes and 3 x post a week. The way I teach how to attract ideal clients is through desire resonance (my messaging formula if you wish) that is both resonance and tangible roi so I get you might be confused especially if you've been trough other programs. The belief that people only buy “tangible” outcomes is outdated, I actually believe everyone buys an intangible result. The women I attract here as clients on Substack - business coaches, positive psychology coaches, spiritual alignment mentors, tarot readers, biz shamans aren’t just selling make money or a spiritual alignment or even a book deal. They're selling what all of that gives: peace, freedom, fulfillment. I did not quite catch what you are selling, what is your offer?
Hi Elisabeth! Just discovered you, I resonate a lot with most of your writing. A burning question I have is if you think this applies only for solution-based services or an artist could also get there?
In my case I would say I create because I need it and it feels good, and then I love when it helps people put words/images to their own feelings and experiences. But I don’t create thinking about that…
Hey Paz, welcome. This applies definitely to any type of service (art included). And you are not a doomed business owner. Creative people (those who create art, and any type of writing as a selling asset - a book or paintings for sale) should approach sales the same way. You should create teasers and hook people into your world by what you share and not share what you sell. I sell my Resonance Sales Messaging as my proprietary method to do this. So I sell the training trough my writing about the training not the training itself - makes sense?
Yes, it makes sense… I will keep contemplating this option, haven’t thought about it from that perspective. Thank you for sharing and taking the time to answer! I really appreciate it 🙏🏻

I’d be keen to hear if these tactics have been successful on Substack bc I’m not feeling this is the place to make that happen.
People like notes not articles.

Thank you for your full response. Your model is how I already work to an extent.
Are your clients who use these tactics on Substack selling marketing coaching or something else?
It is absolutely about resonance and frequency.
The whole premise of my brand.
It’s good to know others have had success at high end level here. Thank you ✨

It is very different for intangible offerings.

Yes, they are buying the intangible even if they don’t realise it. And no, I am not confused.
I simply asked the nature of the services you clients were promoting on SS.
My offer on Substack it’s a 30 day immersion with me which is the front door offer for my 3 or 6 month program.

Does that make me a doomed business owner? 😅
